Yorkshire Garden Designs was born in 2006. It is a small but flourishing business run by Lorna Batchelor, a multiple Gold award winning garden designer. Lorna offers a personal design and consultancy service that results in gardens that are exactly what the client always wanted but never actually thought of.
RECENT PROJECTS:
These clients were keen to add some interest to their blank canvas newbuild garden so they decided to enlist the help of a garden designer. We went for a modern, straight line design with the lines set at 45 degrees to the house to disguise the fact the garden is not truly square and to lead the eye around the space. This has the visual effect of making the garden feel much bigger than it did previously.

This is a tiny yard in an estate of homes for older people. The client loves plants and gardening but required a garden with landscaping and a planting scheme that she could enjoy maintaining with relative ease. The sitting room window is upstairs and overlooks the garden so a strong visual layout was important.

This client had recently extended their home with an orangery and they needed to renovate their garden landscaping in order to make the new addition 'sit right' in it's surroundings. Due to a slight incline on the site, several steps were needed to reach the orangery doors so a garden design solution of a raised patio was suggested.
