This is a relatively large plot for a newbuild estate but it is an awkward triangular shape with dense mature trees along the boundary. The design takes clean lines in beautiful Slate Piombo Porcelain paving parallel to the house, with stepping stones leading through an arch to a cosy circular seating area in the corner which catches the evening sun. Triangular shaped planting beds trick the eye into seeing the garden as being larger than it is. Planting had to be mostly shade tolerant with an emphasis on contrasting foliage, including Phormiums, Acers and Fatsias.
