WHAT:

45 degree design

WHERE:

North Leeds

WHEN:

August 2020

The clients were keen to add some interest to their blank canvas newbuild garden. We went for a modern, straight line design with the lines set at 45 degrees to the house to digsuise the fact the garden is not truly square and to lead the eye around the space. This has the visual effect of making the garden feel much bigger than it did previously.

It has a large dining patio by the house and a more intimate area with a pergola in the back corner where the ground sloped away. It is paved with granite porcelain, edged with contrasting Basalt Millboard composite planks. Two of the triangular shaped planting beds are raised with timber sleepers and planted with a cool palate of greens and purples.
